2018年10月26日，『生命有机化学国家重点实验室』和『手性科学伙伴国家重点实验室』在香港理工大学举行了伙伴实验室年度学术交流会议。黄国贤教授首先介绍了伙伴实验室正式通过科技部的验收，并更名为『化学生物学及药物研发国家重点实验室 The State Key Laboratory of Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery』，在研究方向、硬件和人才布局等方面都有了进一步的发展。21位研究人员分别就各自课题的最新研究进展做了学术报告，并对其中展现的热点科学问题和技术手段进行了热烈讨论。同时，经过八年的不断交流，合作课题也越来越广泛和深入。
